Notice to visitors of ATDP’s University Hall office:
The parking structure and surface parking lot adjacent to University Hall have both closed to the public.
If you need to park near University Hall, there is still limited street parking on the curbs of those streets surrounding the building: Addison, Oxford, and University Avenue. Slightly further away are several public parking garages that service downtown Berkeley.
The Downtown Berkeley BART station is 400 feet away from University Hall.
We strongly encourage visitors to use BART or other public transportation when at all possible. Parking in Berkeley can be both challenging and expensive, and the inconvenience of searching for a parking spot may outweigh that of travelling to the nearest BART station.
What’s going on?
The University Hall parking structure is being demolished in preparation for the new site of the Berkeley Art Museum. The surface lot west of our building has been restricted to use by vehicles with UC parking permits only. UC Berkeley’s Parking and Transportation office has more information about these changes.
