Secondary Division students and families are invited to join us this Sunday for our live 2023 Welcome & Orientation online program. This year, we will be hosting a live Zoom webinar so you can hear updates from the ATDP directors, tips from our academic support staff, and answers to your lingering questions. We strongly encourage students who are new to the Secondary Division—especially students who are transitioning from the Elementary Division—to join us for our “What to Expect at SD” Q&A session starting at 11:00 and be part of our conversation. Registered participants can submit questions throughout the Zoom webinar. (Note that UC Berkeley requires participants to be logged into a Zoom account.)
10 AM – Welcome & Orientation
11 AM – What to Expect at SD: Live Q&A

Also, on or soon after Sunday the 4th, you will receive access to your teacher’s Orientation Letter and first assignment. Please give it your prompt attention, as many courses have significant coursework to be completed before the first day of class! Refer to your Preparing for Class checklist (in the On-site or Online Student Guide) during the coming weeks.
To access your letter: Starting June 4, sign into your account on the ATDP website, and click the student name. Then, in the “Course placement” section of your account, find the link to your Orientation Letter under “Preparing for class.” Please download a copy of this PDF file for your records.
This area of your online account will also contain any information about joining a course website (on Canvas, Google Classroom, etc.) or Zoom classroom. If your course uses these online resources, these instructions and links should be available by the end of the week following Orientation.
Online students may wish to make use of our Tech Checklist for remote learning, as well as the other resources on our tech support page.
On-site students may be interested in our recent update about navigating Cal: On and Around the Berkeley Campus.
