Students from Susan Maloney’s Writing for High School class have just recently finished reading Ray Bradbury’s dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451. This novel portrays a future in which books have been outlawed and firemen have the job of burning said books. As an exercise, the students have drawn their take on what the fire department’s badges look like, making sure the badges symbolically portray the fireman’s duty. Here are some of their drawings:
