This is the view of the Student Union from Sather Gate, which is in the central campus area. Pauley Ballroom, where the Oriention is to take place, is on the 2nd floor, up the broad staircase from the Student Union lobby.

These are two other views of the Student Union, the one on the left is from Lower Sproul Plaza, by the Golden Bear statue and Zellerbach Hall. The view on the right, is from the corner of fabled Telegraph Avenue and Bancroft Way.

The Campus Textbook Exchange bookstore is just across from the Student Union, on Bancroft Way. This is the view from Lower Sproul Plaza.

The picture on the left is a closer view of the front of CTE, and the one on the right is of the wall inside the bookstore where you will find ATDP books. As you enter the bookstore, it's on the rear right.

Copy Central--where you can purchase course readers, if your class has one--is down the alley to the right of Copy Central. (The alley is between CTE and Wells Fargo.)
