Utopia {2900-4000}

Utopia- otherwise known as the perfect place to live- is literally the perfect place to live. It s located on what was known in the twenty-first century as Baja California . That whole isle is now called Utopia. Living in Utopia means living without any fear at all. The people in Utopia are the nicest and sweetest people you could ever meet. Although outside people might think that Utopia is a very srtrict and restricted place, it s for their own good.

Utopia is ran by a very strict government. It consists of 10 people, all chosen by the previous in their position. to get into Utopia . Utopia has a major airport used solely for trading with other countries. All it s major trading comes from a country called Hematitus P which is located Srilanka {a country near India}. Utopia s major reasources are oil, spices, cotton, plastic and steel. Although Hematitus P is not the only place we trade with, it s where most of Utopia s resources come from . Utopia trades all it s natural resources {listed above} for gems {sapphire, rubies, topaz, moon stones}, rice, rubber, tea, coconuts.

All other people trying to get into Utopia have to come by boat. They don t have to be searched for weapons or anything, because everyone understands that Utopia is not the place for that. Plus the government is very harsh about things like that. The punishment for being caught with a weapon of any kind is jail for life. The punishment for trying to start any trouble {which, I have to say, was last used in 3099} is the death penalty. The fear of this has kept many weapons out of Utopia . We have not had to use the dealth penalty more than two times in the whole reign of the empire {1,100 years}.

The Rise of the Empire

Utopia was founded in 2900 AD. During this time, tests were being done on Baja California and more than ten scientists had proven that it was slowly but surely sinking. It was sinking about an inch every ten years, and then all of a sudden a scientist said that the process had sped up by about twenty years. Almost everyone moved out of there within the next two years. Literally only one hundred people were left. They got together and elected a president. The president, a woman 32 years old, elected nine other people to be part of the government with her. They picked the utopia with high hopes of having the perfect place for their childrean, grand-children etc to grow up in. The first one hundred years {2900-3000} were really just planning and getting all the laws straight. By then people were pretty much in their own separate place, with their jobs and everything.

By 3100, the president at that time was good friends with the president of an empire in Srilanka. This empire was called Hematitus P, and they started trading for little things they needed. This is where Utopia s major airport comes in. Hematitus P had no other way to transport goods but by boat. This took very long, and few people were willing to make the trip. Utopia also had huge empty fields on the outskirts of town, so this became an airport. It was decided that this airport would be used solely for trading purposes because it would be safer {keep in mind that we are still aiming for the perfect country, so safety is a very important issue}. They started trading little things anf only once in a while. But soon it became a sort-of tradition to trade with Hematitus P. Currantly Utopia trades with Hematitus P every two months.

Within the next hundred years, Utopia became the absolute perfect place to live. More and more people were coming and soon, they had to start a system to see ehich people California is very skinny and long, every hundred miles, would be a different name. The names were very simple, they were colors. The first hundred miles {going from the bottom of California} was Red County. Then Blue, Green, Purple and so on. Inside the different counties, they had to make sure that everything they needed was right there for them. The government had to make sure that each county had at least one farmer, doctor, market, and a place where you can buy clothes. The farmer had to grow certain crops and had to make a VERY large quantity, it had to be enough for their whole county. The doctor ahd to be on call 24 hours a day, just in case, and the market had to be open most of the time. This was only if there was only one in each county, which was very seldom. Now the stuff that Utopia got from trading countries had to be split evenly ten ways. As you probably realize, everything has to be done equally and fairly, to avoide conflicts.

One of the ways Utopia makes it s money is the tourist attractions. They have flying cars that can hold up to twenty people and they go pretty much all over town, in the twenty-first century, these were called cable cars. They also have bigger versions of these that can hold up to a about fifty people and these are called flying buses. If you haven t already guessed, Utopia is one of the many countries that now uses flying cars. Most rely on regular gas, but some of the newer models can run on water, they are the more enviromentally concience cars. The flying cars can only go certain distances, depending on which one you buy. This is why we have to use airplanes to trade. Boats are very seldom used anymore. They are only used for under-privlaged people who have to make very long trips. Otherwise, people use flying cars as people way back then {twenty-first century} used regular cars. The language used in Utopia is English. There are, of course, certain people that speak different languages, but the main one is English. All the education is taught in English- elementary through college. No matter what section of town you are in, all the signs, and things like that are in English. There is no set religion in Utopia. The people who live there are just a mix of religions. Some religions include: Catholic, Presbytarian, Hindu, Jewish and Orthodox. As you can see, they really have no relation at all.

The Fall of the Empire

The fall of the empire was caused by an accident. The president, the best president that the empire had ever had so far, got into a fight a with one of his close friends, they weren t friends anymore. This hurt the president very much, and although he wouldn t admit it, he was crying a lot. He fell into a deep depression and got very sick. He died and left the whole empire in shock. The next president of the empire, chosen by the rest of the government, was the worst he could ever be. He was so caught up in the whole thing of being a president, that he lost his head. One day he called up his best friends and asked them to come over to play cards with him. Only one of his friends showed up. They decided to play War. They were so into the game that the president was betting everything that he had, saying he was almost positive he was going to win. As they started playing, the president was really winning, so he decided to rase the stakes. He had nothing else to bet but his empire. So he put his empire on the line, positive he was going to win. Well he lost, and it was nobody else s fault but his. The new president didn t like the way things were going around in the empire so he decided to have everyone kicked off and have the whole thing to himself. Problem was, he didn t even have a family to share it with. Once he kicked everyone off the isle, there were only three people living on it. His mother, father and himself. In the end, he died of lonliness {if that s possible}.

Not only does this report tell the storyof an ampire, it tells a moral too.
