The turntables.. just becoming new to me. I have admired DJ's for a while now. Making beats, and scratching seem soo fun to me. I have always liked all types of DJ'd music - Hiphop, with harder beats, and more scratching; or more drum&bass / raver type music with faster, most electronic type of beat. I would **LOVE** to own some turntables and try to mix, but there is one thing holding me back. Some like to call it "money". This is sort of a slight problem for me. The reason I cannot get "money", lies deep within the human character - laziness. Yes, ladys and gentleman, you heard it. But I will stop going off on a tangent; nevermind.

The Turntable... I have met a couple DJ's, one of which, is DJ Fuse, of the Luniz, Digital Underground, and a few other local Oakland hiphop groups. He's real cool, part time DJ, part time gourmet chef ;P heh , the best of both worlds. Also, the son of a friend of my mother, Tim, used to be a DJ, and has a radio show with his friend. If i can make some money, i think you'll be seeing me up there soon ;) hopefully this webpage shit will pay off.........

Other tight DJ's include (but are not limited to):
Ali Shaheed Muhammad, from Tribe Called Quest
Ali Shaheed

DJ Premier, mixed for many many different people, but mainly residing with Gang Starr. This site is dedicated to Premier, and is pretty well made, tons of info.

Scratch, of the Roots, is not a DJ with the turntables, but with his mouth. Some of the more realistic rawest scratching sounds, i've ever heard. How did the Roots get two of the dopest beatboxers in the world?!
